The Fifth International Conference ENEF 2002 continues its tradition from successful previous ENEF conferences. Each of these events was unique by its nature and contents.
The Slovak Republic as well as the other EU candidate
countries gradually accepts energy policy standards
and rules that are currently effective in EU. Among the
priorities of EU energy policy are energy efficiency,
renewable energy sources, reliable assurance of energy supply, competitiveness and environment protection. With regard to the above priorities, it can be said that there are neither cardinal differences between EU and Slovakian energy policy goals, nor the intention to face the future. Because of this reason we have proposed the following title for ENEF 2002:

            " Energy Sector on the Move"

Since effective energy use is one of the determining factors of society's evolution, we are confident that this international conference will fulfill the expectations for both the professional and the public attendees.
Furthermore, the mutual outlooks and shared international experience among all participants related to energy companies, enterprise transformation and privatization will greatly contribute to new ideas among individual energy sectors and fields.
